For most normal people, a two day vacation on Saturday and Sunday is just a weekend, but not for me. I have class 6 days a week. So how will I be spending my two day vacation? Well today I’ll be going to school because I have a drafting project due Monday and don’t have a drafting table in my room.

So, I got my internet. And yea, 100Mbit fiber optic is fast and all… Or so I thought.

I was running it through 54Mbps wireless thinking I was cool, but just for fun I decided to plug it in through 1000Mbit wired and by-pass my router. Before and after screenshots follow.

Downloading at 2.22 MByte/Sec and Uploading at 1.74MByte/sec … Wicked fast says I… But now wired:

I’ve been planing out how I want my blog and site to work in my head and on paper on and off again for the past week. Now it’s time to start to put it all into motion now that I’ve got internet. Let’s hope this all goes well.
